Back to God as a spam filter. Just as our spam filter blocks out unwanted garbage, God will often shield us from the things that we do not need, or are not in allignment with His will. However, every now and then, we may get an email that may be exaclty what we want..., at least that is how it appears at first. Just like clicking on a spam message and comprimising your network or computer, we can put ourselves in situations that can cause damage to our systems. We may get down in a slump, or make some really bad decisions that may seem impossible to recover from. The good news is that God can perform a full system recovery in our lives. That is, if we let Him.
I am so thankful that I do not have to pay for this service. Just think about this. When is the last time that you saw a virus scan software company with the following slogan, "Use our program, we will fix your computer for free. Just tell your friends about me." This is absurd as a business plan and would most likely result in a bankrupt company. However, this is the deal that God makes with us through Jesus Christ. Jesus is simply saying accept me and let me scan every area of your life. I will remove the junk and restore the areas with problems. And best of all, it is completely free of charge. What an incredible, unlimited resource. If things are not going so well in your life, talk to the ultimate healer of all. He already knows the problems, He is just waiting for you to call on Him. Call before it is too late!
"God, please forgive me for the garbage that I have let in my life. Holy Spirit please help me to discern what is from you, and what is not. Thank you for your saving grace and constant help.
